I have so many friends with babies being born right now.
Babies! Babies! Babies! Now that my last baby is almost six I have my brain back. And some time to write. Which is why here's another baby post. BRING IT ON. I'm not kidding when I say a cranial sacral visit for your baby after they are born (not that exact minute, mind you, but even the first week if you can do it) is fantastic. It's like a chiropractic adjustment without the chiropractic "cracking" part. It's so gentle you might stand there watching your baby get a cranial sacral session thinking, "What the heck am I even paying for? I can rub my kid's head." And then you notice your baby has greater range of movement in their neck. They may have less crankiness. THEY SLEEP BETTER, for gosh's sake. Flat Head What? If you happen to co-sleep on one side a lot or have your baby in the same position in the crib and as the months tick on.... and they start to get that flat-head-thing going on.... cranial sacral will fix that. I had heard about cranial sacral before but I ignored it until my third child was born with his arm sticking out next to his head. (Ouch.) And after a week or so it looked like he had a stiff neck. He favored one side for looking and peering around. That's when I caved and got him a cranial sacral session. One of the best things I ever did to help him start out right. Because now I know you aren't just paying for someone to rub your kid's head. There is something important going on there. And thank goodness it's gentle even for a newborn.
